Founded in 1958, by Tom Harmon, Southern California Sports Broadcasters (SCSB), is a non-profit organization, serving broadcast professionals. Among the charter members at the initial June 6th, 1958 meeting, was the legendary Vin Scully. Events are held at Lakeside Golf Club, in Burbank.
Our yearly awards are determined by member vote, and announced at the January Awards Luncheon. Vote is by secret ballot, recognizing radio & television work, originating in Southern California. Ballots are compiled by the Executive Board, and all SCSB members are eligible to vote on award categories.
While our events provide opportunity to network with many local broadcasters, you don't need to be an industry professional to join. We encourage anyone with an interest in the history of broadcasting, or sports in Southern California, to become a member, and attend our events. Our members come from a wide range of professions and vocations. Hope to see you at our next event.
